We've decided to abandon our attempts to be a normal suburban family and hit the road for the life we want to be living. By decided I mean, we took a weekend road trip to North Carolina again and started talking about what we want to do travel wise in the next five years.
This summer is pretty much booked with the wedding in June and baby Dominic due in August, so I don't foresee much traveling happening this year. But we have some high hopes for our future.
I just read MomsByHeart's post on how they're living on $200 a month on their camper adventure. And it inspired Trisha and I to look at how we can get to full time traveling.
I've since discovered the Families on the Road community and are even more inspired. Honestly, it's nice to know what our financial priorities are and what our outlook looks like beyond saving for what ifs and grinding away at work. So anyway, I think we'll hit the road as soon as the baby is done with diapers. Here's how we plan to do it.
